Today is Friday, September 11th, 2026. We had sloppy joe, potatoes, bread, and cake for lunch. So I survived the worst part of this flu or whatever it was. Still a bit tired, but I’m shaking it off.
I had to continuously remind myself to push forward and make progress — force myself to eat regardless of whether I was hungry or not, force myself out of bed in order to stay up so I wouldn’t sleep all day. Remember that it’s people that love me and need me, and I can’t give up and just die in here.
It sounds extreme, but it’s facts that people die from giving up hope. Hope inspires us to keep pushing, keep getting better and looking better. People in jail don’t work out and read and fight their cases for fun — no, these things are done because they Hope to be free and be able to share whatever it is with their loved ones or the world. Hope is the spark that ignites the engine. Without something to fight for, life is meaningless. It’s important to know what truly matters in life, because if you don’t stand for something, then you will fall for anything.
So even when dealing with something as small as fighting a cold in here, you need to remain strong and keep hope alive in order to survive. Be sure to get rest and stock up on cold meds. It’s beginning to get cold outside. Best to buy them and not need them than need them and not have them. Because this is a privilege in the free world. So for me: stock up and bundle up. Fall is approaching. Move Smart and Stay Free.
