A Moment of Reflection

↳

Today is Saturday, August 15, 2026. Breakfast was blueberry cake, a biscuit, cornflakes, and milk, with peanut butter and butter on the tray.

My security light is still out. I was told the last bulbs were cheap, so they’re waiting for the new ones to come in before they replace it.

Lately I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on the past. It’s hard to plan a future if you don’t know when you’ll be free again. But I need to seriously reflect on the past — where I went wrong, how to prevent it from happening again. They say if you don’t study history it will repeat itself. I believe that to be true.

This is a place to pause, reflect, reset, and rebuild your life. But you have to want it. When I was home I flew through my days, consumed with worshipping money, never taking time to truly appreciate life. That’s no way to live.

What I want is for anyone reading this to take some time today to meditate on life. Don’t wait until you lose your freedom to appreciate it. Take at least 3 minutes. Life is short and full of blessings. Please don’t be so busy you miss or overlook them.

I’m going to end this here. Be smart, and please stay free.
