Birthday behind Bars

Today is August 30th, 2026, and it’s my Birthday. Yay to me!!! I made it to see 39, even though I’m not free to celebrate. I’m truly thankful. So many of my brothers that I had growing up is no longer with us, which hurts me — especially losing my little brother Sheem. I miss him every day and will continue to till I leave this earth.

Anyways, so I’m 39 years old today. I most likely will spend my day watching movies on my tablet and reading. I’m reading “How to Swing Trade” by Brian Pezim and “The Laws of Human Nature” by Robert Greene. I know the guys and I will make a meal for tonight, most likely a chili bowl. A chili bowl is rice, a soup, and summer sausage mixed together with chili and cheese on top. We don’t have access to a stove or microwave, so we really can’t get fancy. I’m grateful for whatever, though — something beats nothing!

Last night was extremely hard for me. I got really depressed and honestly thought of just sleeping the day away. Dealing with mental health in here is hard. We don’t have any type of counselors here, so if you’re having a hard time, you sort of have to just deal with it. If you’re blessed, you have someone that you could call and that will listen to you. For me that’s my Partner in Life, my Queen.

The way they treat mental health here is with meds. The meds help, but they are just bandaids for the real issues. The topic of mental health is an important one for me, and I plan on making a whole post around this topic soon.

But today I plan on having a good day, talking on the phone to my Queen and loved ones, eating food, and watching movies, and no, I will not be drinking any toilet wine 😂. But I’m about to make a call and hopefully get some birthday sex.

Till next time, Move Smart and Stay Free.

(P.S. I want to thank everyone for their birthday wishes. I appreciate them more than you know. They motivate me to push forward. Love Y’all.)
