Today is Saturday, August 29th, 2026. Yesterday’s lunch was chopped up turkey over rice, beans, bread, and a cake.
I have come to the realization that it’s important to write whatever plans you have down on paper. I mean, of course you should have some type of plan, if only internal, but writing it down helps you to stick with it and not go astray. Life throws curveballs, buckets of ice water, and all types of wild s**t at you. It’s important to have something you can look at to remember where you want to go and how you plan on getting there.

Me personally, I have started planning for when I’m released already, and I don’t even know when that is. It could be as soon as next month if I get another detention hearing, or 10-15 years if convicted, worst case 25-30 years if they decide to try to label me a career criminal. Regardless, I have created a plan, because the last time I got released, I didn’t have one. I had a head full of great ideas.
If you talk to anyone who is being released soon from a place like this, be sure to help them develop a written plan before they’re released. If they enjoy reading, buy them a copy of Chris Wilson’s book, The Master Plan. It’s important that as we’re reentering society — especially after doing two or more years — we have a concrete list of things to do. It’s easy to get distracted once released. Shiny object syndrome is real, and it affects people reentering the free world.
So be sure to have a written plan for yourself, and help your loved one develop one also. This way we can all make it safely to our desired lives. This creates all the accountability you need. You got this!!! Be Smart and Stay Free!!!
