Argue with who?

↳

Today is Tuesday, October 6th, 2026. Lunch was ground beef with taco seasoning, rice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, soft wraps, and cake. I hate arguing!!! Even in the free world it sucks, but while behind these walls it can literally make you lose your mind. That's because we have no outlet in here. Everything sticks with you. You just have to stew in it, which sucks. Usually you end up taking it out on someone that doesn't deserve it. An argument is an invitation to lose your composure, expose your emotions, and hand someone else the keys to your mental stability, and most people accept that invitation without considering it. Here's the truth about arguing: it rarely changes anyone's mind. People don't argue to find the truth, they argue to win, and when two people are trying to win, nobody is listening. All that energy of going back and forth, and at the end of it both people walk away more convinced of what they already believed. You haven't changed s**t, but the temperature in the room. When someone challenges you, disrespects you, or tries to pull you into a debate, the goal is to remain calm. The person that stays calm while everyone else is heated is the most powerful person in the room. You don't have to defend your vision to people who can't see it. You don't have to explain your decisions. Let your life be the argument. Let your wins be the rebuttal. The moment you step into an argument, you've already agreed that their opinion deserves your energy, and most times it doesn't. Instead, sit back, keep silent, stay focused, and let your result do the talking. For more like this, tjwrites.com
