Fresh from Lockdown

Today is Monday, August 24th, 2026. For breakfast we had pancake bread and syrup. We also get a milk every morning — you have to smell them though, because they be spoiled. This morning I got a spoiled one. In this case you have to tell the officer, and usually they’ll give you another one.

Damn, I missed sending out these messages. We’ve been on a lockdown and I haven’t had access to a tablet. I’m still unsure why we were on lockdown. Of course there are rumors, but none of that matters frfr.

What matters is that I appreciate everyone that’s following my story. Last checked it was 62. Thank you for following along even after this long break. My new goal is to post something every day — even if it’s just what we ate. Jail life is pretty repetitive. Every day it’s almost the same s**t, which is why the habits you develop are important. So I’m going to build the habit of writing to you every day.

Now we have to keep in mind s**t happens. If I get stabbed in the face I may miss a couple days. You never know what may happen — I want you to be prepared.

Also, I want to encourage everyone to click the link below and always visit my blog page to read my entire post. Only a portion gets uploaded to FB. In the future we’re working on putting links on my blog page that lead to more information on whatever topic I’m talking about, or resources that maybe you could use for yourself or for a loved one. I want to provide my community with as much value as I possibly can.

Where I’m from, we have a rule: each one teach one. What that means is that my job is to teach you what I know, and in return you’re to teach me what you know. So if there’s anything you feel I should look into, or anything you want to know more about that I’m touching on, feel free to reach out.

You can email me here: firstdayoutproject@gmail.com. Or just leave it in the comments under the post on my blog page. You can also visit my blog site directly at tjwrites.com — it’ll bring you right to the blog page.

Again, thank you for supporting me. It really gets me through these long days. Continue to be smart and Stay Free.
