ALWAYS Protect Ya Queen!!

Chess is a very well-known game. In jail, it’s one of the most played games next to Poker and Dominoes. In case you’ve never played before, or at least heard of this game for some strange reason — the purpose of it is to trap the other person’s King. You have a board full of pieces, each one with specific rules on how it could move. Depending on how well your opponent is, this game can take hours. Even though the game is based around capture of the King, oddly, the King isn’t the most powerful piece on the board.

Your Queen is! The Queen could move any direction, as many spots as she wants. She is dangerous! In the game of Chess, losing your Queen makes the game a lot harder — it could mean the game comes to a quick end. Once, this old head told me that Chess is a lot like life. I remember I told him to STFU and move his piece — he was taking too long. In Chess, you get 2 of all the power pieces and 8 pawns. Your other 2 pieces are 1 King and 1 Queen. You don’t have 2 Queens.

Your board could be full of all your power pieces and all your pawns, but if your Queen gets taken, you’re going to miss her — you may even lose the game. Places like these are designed to tear families apart. Lack of communication, physical touching, and intimate relations will challenge the best of relationships. I know from personal experience, and it doesn’t make it any easier when you’re being an a**hole at times and saying hurtful things. These walls play tricks on the people behind them.

Now I understand what the old head was trying to teach me. Life is like Chess — be careful where and how you move. Remember, you’re a King, and always protect your Queen! I love my Queen!! Always US!!!
